Matthew Thomas, MD

Dr. Thomas specializes in pediatric infectious diseases in the Department of Medicine. He serves as an assistant residency program director and is co-director of the academic coaching program within the residency program. He is seeking a Master of Education in Healthcare Professions at Johns Hopkins University School of Education. His academic interests include faculty development around academic coaching strategies and teaching methods. He joined Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital in 2016, after completing a fellowship in Pediatric Infectious Diseases at the University of Miami School of Medicine/Jackson Memorial Hospital. Before that, he completed his Pediatrics training and chief residency at West Virginia University/Charleston Area Medical Center.
