Joseph Perno, MD

Dr. Perno is the vice president of medical affairs at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital. He joined the hospital staff in 2003. Dr. Perno focuses on aligning clinical resources across the continuum of care to ensure quality and patient safety as well as value-based services. His responsibilities include medical credentialing and privileging oversight, assessment of medical staff performance and enhancement of care coordination and clinical pathways with community pediatricians. He also oversees the medical library, radiology and lab teams. Dr. Perno maintains clinical time in the Emergency Center, where he started as an attending physician in 2003.
