James Lim, MD - General Surgery

James Lim, MD, enjoys building relationships with his patients. His clinical expertise includes kidney and pancreas transplantation surgery, hemodialysis access surgery, general surgery, live donor evaluation and organ procurement organization (OPO) clinical policy development.

Dr. Lim received his medical degree from the University of Missouri. He went on to complete a general surgery residency at Albert Einstein Medical Center and transplant surgery fellowships at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, under the guidance of Dr. Thomas E. Starzl, and the University of Chicago.

Prior to joining Centura Health, Dr. Lim served as program director and chief of Transplant Surgery at Hackensack University Medical Center in Hackensack, New Jersey. During his 5-year tenure at Hackensack University Medical Center, he successfully rebuilt their kidney transplant program.
