Dr. Ratner grew up in Dallas, Texas, where he attended high school at the Episcopal School of Dallas. After graduation, he attended Northwestern University on a soccer scholarship. While at Northwestern, he was a three-year starter and two-year captain of the soccer team, which finished in the top 25 all three of those years and went to two NCAA Elite Eights during his time there. He graduated in 2008 with a degree in psychology.
Then, Dr. Ratner received his medical degree from Texas Tech School of Medicine in Lubbock, Texas. He concomitantly obtained an MBA with a concentration in Health Organization Management from Texas Tech Rawls College of Business.
