Lindsey Ross, MD

Lindsey Ross, MD, is a neurosurgeon at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in the West Hollywood neighborhood of Los Angeles, and Torrance Memorial Medical Center in Torrance, California. 
Dr. Ross received a Bachelor of Science in biological sciences from Stanford University and a Doctor of Medicine from David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA.
Throughout her career, she has been committed to serving disadvantaged populations, mentoring underrepresented students, and working towards policy change to address the health needs of the most impoverished and underserved communities. She was tapped to serve as a White House Fellow for the Obama Administration in 2016. In this position, she served as a Science and Health Policy Counselor for the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services. Her portfolio included managing the U.S. Zika response plan, where she worked closely with the Centers for Disease Control, Assistant Secretary of Preparedness and Response (ASPR), and the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) to protect and treat U.S. citizens. Additionally, she spent a significant amount of time researching and advising senior U.S. leadership on public health policies to address the opioid epidemic. 
During medical school, she was selected as a Denzel and Pauletta Washington Gifted Scholar in Neurosciences. Lindsey has enjoyed serving as a leader for the Cedars-Sinai House Staff Executive Committee and the Doctors for Diversity and Inclusion committee. She has spent an extensive amount of time in Uganda, South Africa, Thailand, Mexico, and Guatemala for medical mission work and has authored several published scholarly articles and academic book chapters in various neurosurgical subspecialties.
