Dr. Masters completed her medical and graduate degrees at the University of Louisville School of Medicine in Louisville, Ky. She then completed her residency in radiation oncology at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, N.C.Dr. Masters' favorite part of practicing medicine is taking care of patients and how varied her day can be as a doctor. "I really enjoy taking care of cancer patients," she says. "You have a really rare opportunity to take care of them and provide peace for them in a very scary situation. You get to bond with your patients because you're going to see them for several weeks in a row.
