Steven Yamazaki, MD - Family Medicine

Kiyoshi Yamazaki, MD, is passionate about helping his patients achieve their health goals so they can continue to enjoy the activities that they love. He utilizes musculoskeletal ultrasound guidance for diagnostics and offers targeted steroid injections as well as other minimally invasive procedures. In addition, Dr. Yamazaki partners with PT/OT/Kinesiology for well-rounded management plans and facilitates referrals to specialty orthopedic surgeons when needed.

Dr. Yamazaki received his Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from Pomona College in Claremont, CA. He went on to get his Doctor of Medicine from the University of St. Eustatius School of Medicine. He completed both a residency in family medicine at Southwest Georgia Family Medicine Residency Program, and a fellowship in primary care sports medicine at Southwest Georgia Sports Medicine Program with Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Dr. Yamazaki is board certified sports medicine and family medicine.

Dr. Yamazaki is an eagle scout and is enjoys a healthy and active lifestyle through sports, outdoor activities and cooking. He has served as a sideline physician for multiple professional, collegiate, high school, and Olympic-level athletes. However, his favorite activity is spending time with his family and dogs.
