Karla Owen, D.O., earned her doctor of osteopathy degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Bradenton, FL. She completed a residency from Piedmont Columbus Regional Family Medicine Residency Program, Midtown Campus in Columbus, GA where she earned the GAFP Family Medicine Resident of the Year Award in 2018 and the Howard Vigrass Resident of the Year Award in 2019. Afterwards, she practiced Urgent care in various Northern Virginia locations, providing orthopaedic, acute and primary care for her patients. She is board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.Dr. Owen’s clinical interests are in geriatric medicine and multi-generational care.Karla is a professional member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Osteopathic Association.In her spare time Dr. Owens enjoys hiking, camping, tennis, stained glass making and renovating her home with her husband.
