Alberto Rene Vega, MD

Alberto Vega, M.D., is a board-certified family medicine physician at Baptist Health, who speaks fluent English and Spanish.

Before coming to Baptist Health, Dr. Vega worked as a Primary Care Provider at Leon Medical Center.

After earning his medical degree from the Superior Institute of Medical Sciences in La Havana, Cuba, Dr. Vega completed his residency in family medicine at Playa Clinic. He then returned to the Superior Institute of Medical Sciences to complete an internal medicine residency, followed by a family medicine residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital.

As a family physician, Dr. Vega enjoys making a positive impact on people of all ages. He provides a caring and compassionate approach to helping people manage and prevent diabetes and high cholesterol.

When not caring for patients, Dr. Vega enjoys reading and riding his bike.
