Samina Afreen, MD

Dr. Afreen received her medical degree from Calcutta Medical College in Kolkata, India. She went on to complete a residency in internal medicine at Howard University Hospital, Washington, D.C. She furthered her training in endocrinology, with a fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Pittsburgh, PA. She is board certified in internal medicine, bariatrics (obesity) medicine, metabolism, and endocrinology.



She is a member of the American College of Physicians, the Endocrine Society, and the Obesity Medicine Association.
