Andrew Figura, MD

Dr. Figura is medical director of Radiation Oncology at AHN Cancer Institute at Saint Vincent Hospital. He studied biochemistry at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, before going on to earn a medical degree at the Medical College of Pennsylvania of Hahnemann University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He completed a general surgery internship at West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh and a residency in radiation oncology at Ohio State Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio.

He is a member of American College of Radiation Oncology, the American Society of Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology, and the American Medical Association. He is also a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.

Dr. Figura is experienced in the latest ways to treat cancer with radiation for greater precision and less trauma to surrounding tissues. These treatments include stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT), stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), respiratory motion management, and HDR brachytherapy.
