Regiane De Andrade, MD

Dr. Regiane De Andrade received her medical degree in Brazil. She studied at Federal University of Sao Paulo-Escola Paulista de Medicina and completed her training in radiation oncology in Sao Paulo, Brazil. She is board certified in radiation oncology by the Brazilian College of Radiology and worked as faculty at the Federal University of Sao Paulo. Dr. Andrade then joined the University of Pittsburgh in a research capacity. She was involved in several research projects for integration of newer technologies such as IMRT, PET-CT, IGRT, and 4D-PET-CT for the Radiation Oncology Department. She continued to complete a Radiation Oncology Residency at the University of Pittsburgh and is board certified by the American Board of Radiology in Radiation Oncology. Dr. Andrade's publications were pioneering for integration of these technologies into routine clinical practice, especially in use of PET-CT and IMRT for head and neck cancers. She also participated in a Cooperative Planning Grant for the Cancer Disparities Research Partnership (NCI grant # 1 U56 CA105486-01) involved with continuous quality improvement (CQI) initiatives.
