Jien Shim, MD

Dr. Shim specializes in general endocrinology with clinical interests including thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal and pituitary disorders, diabetes mellitus, transgender medicine, and obesity.
Dr. Shim graduated magna cum laude with a major in Biology from Washington University in St. Louis. She received her medical degree from Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where she also completed internal medicine residency training. She worked at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center as a hospitalist, prior to moving to California to complete her endocrinology fellowship at University of California, Los Angeles.
Dr. Shim speaks English and Korean.
