Juan Penaranda-Canal, MD

Juan Gabriel Penaranda Canal, M.D. is a native of Bogota, Colombia. He received his Medical Doctorate from the National University of Colombia in 2003.

Following Medical School Dr. Penaranda Canal received his surgical training at Saint Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan. This training included a five year general surgery residency. He subsequently completed a three year residency in cardiothoracic surgery at Mayo Clinic, Rochester Minnesota. Dr. Penaranda Canal is board certified in general and cardio-thoracic surgery.

Dr. Juan G. Penaranda Canal is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

Dr. Penaranda Canal is a member of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons, Medical Association of the State of Alabama and the Medical Society of Mobile County.
