Peter (Trey) Pluscht, III, MD

Peter (Trey) Pluscht, III, M.D. is a native of Elberta, Alabama. He received his undergraduate education at the University of South Alabama and attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine, where he was a member of the AOA Honor Society. He remained at UAB, completing a five-year residency in general surgery and a two-year cardio-thoracic surgical fellowship under the training of Dr. John Kirklin and Dr. Albert Pacifico. Dr. Pluscht completed an additional year of advanced cardiac surgery as a fellow/clinical instructor under the direction of Dr. Pacifico. Dr. Pluscht is board certified in general surgery, cardiovascular surgery, and thoracic surgery.

He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is a member of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons, Southern Thoracic Surgical Association, Medical
Association of the State of Alabama and the Medical Society of Mobile County.

Dr. Pluscht is also a member of the American Heart Association, where he was the honoree at the 12th Annual Mobile Heart Ball on May 6, 2010.
