Dr. Safanda received his medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Chicago, Illinois. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery, also at the University of Illinois College of Medicine, and a fellowship in hand and microsurgery at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut. In addition to being Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery, Dr. Safanda is also Board Certified in Hand Surgery as a subspecialty. He was named a top doctor in orthopedic surgery in both Sonoma and Marin County.
