Reverse/HECM Mortgages have helped many families, yet they are not the right solution for every situation, and there is still a lot of misinformation about these loans.
In recent years, many of the problems with these loans and unscrupulous lenders have been fixed, which is why it’s important to consult with a loan officer who is not only licensed to provide different types of lending options, but is also certified by the National Reverse Mortgage Lenders Association (NRMLA). I am one of less than 200 Certified Reverse Mortgage Professionals in the United States who has voluntarily chosen to undergo rigorous extended training, testing, and adherence to a higher standard of ethics than legally required, to ensure you receive the highest level of expertise and integrity.
As a senior loan officer with certification in both Reverse and “Forward” loans, including conventional, FHA, VA, and other products, I’d be happy to listen to your needs and answer any of your questions before you make any final decisions. Sometimes reverse mortgages are not the best solution and a more conventional loan may be more appropriate.
