Recently, AARP's efforts have helped increase vital resources for programs that serve a growing number of older North Carolinians and their family caregivers, fought back excessive utility and insurance rate increases, helped fight fraud and scams, and have spurred changes in communities across the state to make them friendlier for all ages.
