At Your Service Psychiatry: Allison Sikorsky, PMHNP

 Allison Sikorsky, PMHNP, is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner and the founder of At Your Service Psychiatry in Bloomingdale, Illinois. Allison is an alumnus of the top psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner program in the nation, graduating from Rush University in Chicago, Illinois, in 2011.
Allison has more than 20 years of experience in health care. During the last eight years, she’s been a psychiatric nurse practitioner, caring for patients with a wide variety of mental health conditions. Allison’s experience includes treating patients in community mental health settings and inpatient acute psychiatric units and providing psychiatric consultation-liaison services to various hospitals.
Allison follows her patients’ progress from their hospital treatment to their life as an outpatient. She describes herself as being a highly sensitive person who strives to care for her patients in a personal and meaningful way, rather than just prescribing medications. Allison has a sincere commitment to patient privacy and satisfaction, as well. She doesn’t use a secretary, and no one has access to her patients’ information. Patients can schedule an appointment at the last minute, often on the same day.  If ever any patient feels they aren’t benefiting from her services, Allison provides a full refund of their fees.
Allison enjoys working with patients of all ages and genders but has a particular interest in geriatric psychiatry, sports psychiatry, women’s mental health needs (including postpartum depression and anxiety and adjustment to new motherhood), and women’s sexual medicine (including lower sexual desire disorder). Allison also has a passion for providing mental health services to other healthcare professionals and caregivers.
