Tina Funt, MD - Schweiger Dermatology Group

Dr. Tina K. Funt joins Schweiger Dermatology Group after many years as the founder and medical director of Village Dermatology and Skin Rejuvenation as well as director of our medi-spa Spa Reviens in Garden City, New York.

Dr. Funt is board-certified by the American Board of Dermatology and is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. She practices medical and pediatric dermatology and specializes in cosmetic dermatology.

Dr. Funt graduated summa cum laude with a degree in English Literature from Brooklyn College, where she was elected to the Phi Beta Kappa honor society. She received her M.D. degree from Downstate Medical School. She did her pediatric residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and her dermatology residency at New York Medical College.

Dr. Funt has published many articles in leading medical journals. Dr. Funt is an attending physician at New York Presbyterian Hospital Columbia University Medical Center and Winthrop University Hospital. She is involved in the training and mentoring of medical students and residents, and also lectures fellow physicians and students on general and pediatric dermatology and the diagnosis and treatment of skin cancer. She is involved in teaching cosmetic dermatology and participates in many community skin cancer screenings.
