Annette C. Comes, MD

Dr. Annette Comes is originally from Pierre, South Dakota. She earned a bachelor's degree in Biology at Moorhead State University, followed by her medical degree from the University of South Dakota in Vermillion. Following her education, she moved to Billings, Montana to complete a residency at the Family Medicine Residency Program. While in residency, she met her husband, Kevan, on a blind date. He is a cattle rancher in Lewistown, and she knew, undoubtedly, that her life and career would be there.She performed various Locums work before attending an OB Fellowship in Denver, Colorado at the University of Colorado. Then, for six more months, she performed more Locums work, awaiting an opportunity to perform family medicine in Lewistown. In January 2004, Dr. Comes started her own practice, where she did a full spectrum of family medicine, including OB. After 11 years of independent practice, she joined Central Montana Medical Center in Lewistown, where she worked for the next five years.She enjoys practicing family medicine. She especially enjoys fostering a relationship with her patient and his or her family. She feels that it is beneficial to know the social situation and relationships of the patient when determining the best course for his or her care. The variety of care is also challenging but rewarding.When not working, Dr. Comes enjoys watching her two children in sports, baking and cooking, reading, and waterskiing.
