High Mesa Farm LLC

High Mesa Sod Farm has been family-owned and operated since 1966. We are located just east of the town of Rush, Colorado. We have been raising sod for over 40 years and have one of the best products you can find. Our sod farm was started by D. Victor and Iva Johns in Ellicott, Colorado where Victor Johns had a thriving landscape business. In 1971, the farm in Rush was purchased and has been growing Kentucky Blue Grass there ever since. High Mesa Sod Farm was purchased by Donald Johns Jr. in 1997 and is operated by Donald Jr. and his wife Kelly Johns presently.
