Madhavi Katikaneni, MD, is board certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology and specializes in acute and chronic hemodialysis modalities, transplantation, consultations and general nephrology.Dr. Katikaneni earned her medical degree from Osmania Medical College in Hyderabad, India and went on to serve her internship and residency at Montefiore Medical Center in New York. She then completed her fellowship in Nephrology at Metropolitan Hospital.Dr. Katikaneni treats patients with chronic kidney disease, end stage kidney disease, resistant hypertension, diabetic nephropathy, electrolyte disorders, glomerulonephritis, kidney stones, acute kidney injury, and more. She has a personalized approach to providing quality patient care and is also actively involved in research. Dr. Katikaneni is a member of the American Society of Nephrology, National Kidney Foundation, American College of Physicians, and the Renal Physician Association. She enjoys hiking, cooking, and gardening in her free time.
