Dennis A. Pastena, MD

Dennis A. Pastena, M.D. received his undergraduate degree from Seton Hall University where he was on the Dean’s List. He earned his M.D. degree at Loyola University, Stritch School of Medicine. He did his general surgery residency at St. Vincent’s Hospital of New York, and completed his plastic surgery training at Downstate Medical Center—King’s County Hospital. Dr. Pastena is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He is past President of the Putnam County Medical Society, past President of the Medical Staff of Putnam Hospital Center, and former Chairman of the Department of Surgery at the hospital. Dr. Pastena has been in the private practice of Plastic Surgery since 1978. As of February 2013 Dr. Dennis A Pastena is the new Chairman, Department of Surgery at Hudson Valley Hospital Center.

When not engaged in his busy practice of Plastic Surgery, Dr. Pastena enjoys camping, fly fishing, literature and the art of tying artificial fishing flies; he is also a volunteer with the Boy Scouts of America.
