The firm was started out of a necessity to serve their clients with a level of service and fee based asset management not often found in the Financial Services industry. "Whats' In A Name?"

Having a client base centered in Western New York, stretching from Buffalo to Rochester, eventually led to having a number of clients who live half the year or in some cases all of the year in Florida. These clients, also referred to as "snowbirds" posed a unique set of circumstances to LSA, serving as one more impetus to found a nationally registered RIA firm. These "snowbirds" are also the reason the firm was named Lincoln Sparrow Advisors. As we learned, most sparrows do not migrate south in the winter. The "Lincoln's Sparrow" however is a particular kind of sparrow that does typically migrate from the Northeast to the Southeast every year.
