Deborah Hemel, MD

Dr. Deborah Hemel, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Columbia University Medical Center. She workes as an internist with ColumbiaDoctors, the faculty practice of Columbia University Medical Center, and sees patients at NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Group Westchester. Dr. Hemel earned her medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and completed her residency in Internal Medicine at New York University Medical Center/ Bellevue Hospital. Prior to medical school, Dr. Hemel was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to Israel. She served as a teaching hospitalist at Montefiore Medical Center and an instructor of medicine at Albert Einstein School of Medicine. Dr. Hemel specializes in treating adults and enjoys all aspects of internal medicine. She is a native of Westchester.
