Chi Lim, MD

Chi Lim, MD, is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in diagnosing and treating spinal disorders. With offices in Spartanburg and Duncan, South Carolina, Dr. Lim provides innovative new surgical and non-surgical treatments to relieve pain and restore patients’ quality of life.
Dr. Lim completed his Bachelor of Science in Lyman Briggs Physiology at Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan. He went on to earn his Doctor of Medicine at Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan. Dr. Lim served his orthopaedic surgery residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. He also completed rigorous fellowship training in spinal surgery at the University of Wisconsin in Madison. 
Board-certified by the American Board of Spine Surgery, Dr. Lim is also a member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery, the North American Spine Society, and the Lumbar Spine Research Society. He has contributed to and published several papers on spinal conditions and treatments, and frequently speaks at conferences and training programs across North America. Dr. Lim is also a part of a larger practice, Carolina Orthopaedic & Neurosurgical Associates. 
Dr. Lim uses state-of-the-art technology, including StealthStation™ surgical navigation and the Mazor X™ Stealth Edition robotic spine surgery guidance platform to perform same-day, outpatient procedures. The procedures he offers include cervical disc replacements, sacroiliac joint fusion, and minimally invasive lateral fusion.
