If you are receiving care at AKUA Mind and Body in a Sacramento treatment center for a substance abuse disorder, you will most likely undergo detoxification before you can formally enter residential treatment where you will start your journey to recovery. If you are struggling with a mental health disorder, you will initially undergo an assessment for any co-occurring disorders that may be present and will either enter residential treatment or detoxification; accordingly. The average duration of stay for residential treatment is 30-90 days, depending on each client’s needs.
