About Dr. Patel 
Shachi Patel, MD, is a double board-certified interventional pain management physician and the owner of Delmarva Pain and Spine Center in Newark, Delaware. She is an astute, patient-focused physician who offers multimodal treatment plans to address a wide range of pain conditions. 
Dr. Patel earned her doctor of medicine at the Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine in Hershey, Pennsylvania. She went on to complete her anesthesiology residency at Harvard Medical School – Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts. She continued her subspecialty training in acute and chronic pain management at Weill Cornell Medical Center and Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City.  Dr. Patel is a down-to-earth and thoughtful physician. Attentive to patients’ individual needs, she believes that personalized care and combined therapies provide a focused approach that brings the best results and quality of life. 
At Delmarva Pain and Spine Center, Dr. Patel treats a variety of pain conditions, including complex regional pain syndrome, neuropathy, and arthritis, with innovative therapies. She performs epidural and facet joint injections, trigger point injections, and joint injections. Dr. Patel also provides radiofrequency ablation, spinal cord stimulation, and regenerative medicine.
