Good outcomes result from a team-like approach between patients and their healthcare providers, so I like for my patients to be actively involved in decisions about their treatment when appropriate. I tend to keep things as comfortable and light-hearted as possible, while maintaining the professionalism expected of healthcare providers. I have a habit of relating with my patients on a friendly/personal level, and do my best to understand where they are coming from. I look forward to getting to know my patients, which in turn tends to lead to them having a higher level of trust/confidence in me and the decisions that I make with regards to their medication regimens.
