Matthew W. Allen, M.D.

"Matthew Allen, MD joined Ballard Pediatrics in 2001 after completion of residency at Seattle Children's Hospital and Regional Medical Center. Born in Seattle, Dr. Allen is a graduate of both the Philosophy Department and School of Medicine at the University of Washington. His training has given him opportunities to practice medicine in China, Guatemala and Chiapas, Mexico. Dr. Allen works full time at Ballard Pediatrics and enjoys following the development of children within their families. He is a past President of the Medical Staff at Seattle Children’s Hospital. Dr. Allen lives in Seattle with his wife, interior designer Allison Allen, and daughter Ellie and sons Andrew and Grant. His outside interests include alpine hiking, sea kayaking, soccer and reading."
