"I care for women throughout pregnancy with the goals of a healthy mother/baby dyad, positive pregnancy/birth experience, and good postpartum adjustment. As a Nurse Midwife I believe that quality care requires a partnership with women and families; is offered in the context of their own lived experience and unique needs; is based on the best evidence available; and includes therapeutic use of human presence, and skillful communication. I believe that pregnancy and childbirth, while normal life events, are also powerful motivators of healthy behavior change. I support my patients as they make those changes to optimize their health and that of their family/community."
