Melissa C Walsh, M.D.

Dr. Melissa Walsh is a Midwest transplant, having grown up near Detroit, MI. She graduated with High Honors in Biology from the University of Michigan where she helped develop a mediation center, started a group to explore complementary and alternative medicines, and, most importantly, met her loving husband, Mike. After a year teaching through Americorps in Detroit, she completed medical school at the University of Rochester. Dr. Walsh moved to Seattle for her pediatric residency at the University of Washington/Seattle Children’s Hospital in 2004. At the completion of her residency, she was honored by the Seattle Children’s Family Advisory Council with the Family Centered Care award. Their family expanded to include their two children, Alex (2006) and Elizabeth (2008), who continue to be their utmost joy and keep them connected to the wonder and stresses of parenting!Dr. Walsh is excited to serve as a medical home for families, and enjoys taking care of all ages from newborns to adolescents. Personally, she savors spending time with her family, traveling, and dancing. She began her practice with Richmond Pediatrics in 2007.
