Dr. Bharat Patel trained at Baylor College of Medicine and has been a winner of outstanding research by American College of Cardiology. Dr. Patel has authored and coauthored several publications in peer reviewed journals including being a lead author on the mechanisms of protection from heart damage during heart attacks. After working on award winning research, Dr. Patel decided to set up a practice specialized in cardiology in Clear Lake and has been in the same current location for about 30 years. He is well known for offering same day appointments for comprehensive cardiovascular evaluations including a treadmill test, echocardiogram and carotid doppler for only 145 dollars, a deal that is unmatched in the industry. Dr. Patel lives in Friendswood with his wife Deena. They have three children, Payal, a pediatric neurologist, Neal, a wealth manager, and Akshar, who is studying to become a physician.
