About Us

Greenwich Primary Care is the town's premier primary and urgent care clinic that provides comprehensive medical services for adult patients. Centered at the border of Cos Cob and Greenwich, Connecticut, in the center of town, the practice welcomes walk-in patients throughout the week from 11:30am to 2:30pm daily in addition to regular appointments, urgent care visits, and physical examination appointments. The clinic is one of the only practices in the area that accepts nearly all forms of medical insurance.

Dr. Josh Shajan, medical director at Greenwich Primary Care, is the go-to provider for Greenwich and area patients and their families for comprehensive primary and urgent care services. Dr. Shajan regularly cares for patients who have a variety of urgent care complaints including cold or flu symptoms, sinus infections, lacerations, respiratory infections, urinary tract infections, and other common ailments. Medical management of chronic conditions, including weight loss counseling, obesity, asthma, diabetes, and high blood pressure, is also available. The team treats patients quickly, so little wait time is to be expected.

To help with the diagnostic process and to provide comprehensive care under one roof, Greenwich Primary Care proudly offers on-site screenings. Patients can get same-day bloodwork and urinalysis testing in the in-house lab, as well as orders for imaging tests, like X-rays, CT scans, or MRI's at nearby radiology facilities. The clinic also offers on-site electrocardiograms (EKGs). 

Plus, patients can enjoy a continuity of care, since they can be seen by a physician that knows their medical history. Because Dr. Shajan has lived and worked in the community he serves since 2012, he knows the area well and has direct access to local specialists and other medical professionals patients may need to see.
