Gina Talbot, MD

Gina Talbot, M.D. received her doctorate in medicine from Louisiana State University Medical Center in New Orleans. Having enjoyed New Orleans so much, she also completed her residency in internal medicine at LSUMC-NO. She received her undergraduate degree from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge where she was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa honor society. Prior to joining Piedmont, Dr. Talbot practiced medicine for 17 years in Marietta and for 2 years at the Georgia Institute of Technology where she developed protocols to improve clinical quality metrics such as the institution of mental health screenings on all Georgia Tech students seen in the clinic. Dr. Talbot holds current certification with the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Talbot specializes in adult primary care and provides services and treatment for patients’ ages 16 and up. She enjoys the long term relationships with patients that her specialty makes possible and appreciates what she regularly learns from them. She has a special interest in preventive care as a means to achieve a good quality of life for her patients. In her spare time, Dr. Talbot enjoys travel, reading, photography, spending time with her husband and 3 children, and jogging with the family’s dog. Dr. Talbot welcomes new patients and accepts most insurance plans.
