Shelly Wisz, FNP-C

Shelly Wisz attended Livingston Area Vocational Center in Pontiac, Illinois where she began her career as a Certified Nursing Assistant. She attended Illinois State University and Mennonite College of Nursing at Illinois State University, Normal, IL where she received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She completed her Master of Science Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner at Northern Illinois University, Dekalb, IL where she graduated with honors.

She brings to her practice a wide range of experience including: orthopedics, intensive care, geriatrics and operating room. She worked as a field nurse for Pediatric Services of America Healthcare, South Barrington, IL where she provided home care services for medically fragile children, and Native American Indian Clinic and Emergency Department, Lame Deer, MT. She also serves as a mentor for Alexicare (Alexian Brother’s Health System) computer systems.

Shelly is a member of the Honors Society of Nursing Sigma Theta Tau International, Illinois Society for Advance Practice Nursing and American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She joined Oaklawn Medical Group active staff in 2016.
