Manuel Perez, MD, is certified by the American Board of Urology and specializes in diagnosing and treating a variety of urological diseases and disorders at The Urology Group in Hilton Head Island and Hardeeville, South Carolina. Before working in private practice, Dr. Perez was an officer in the United States Navy, served as the Chief of Staff at Hilton Head Hospital in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, and was on the Board of Governors.
Dr. Perez is known for his friendly, personable nature, and he enjoys getting to know his patients and their families. He uses the latest advancements in diagnostic technologies in-office to identify the root cause of symptoms and accurately confirm a diagnosis. Dr. Perez also customizes treatment plans to ensure the highest quality of care. He creates personalized strategies for a variety of chronic urological diseases, including urinary incontinence, prostate cancer, and bladder cancer. Dr. Perez is also skilled in performing a variety of surgeries, including vasectomies and the removal of cancerous tumors.
After graduating with his undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Dr. Perez earned his medical degree and completed his residencies in urology and general surgery at the University of Georgetown School of Medicine in Washington, DC. He also finished an internship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center – UPMC Mercy.
When not serving his patients, Dr. Perez enjoys traveling, spending time on the water, and playing sports with his two children, Justin and Lily.
