Better, St Austell Leisure Centre (formerly Polkyth Leisure Centre), offers quality, affordable fitness facilities and leisure activities to help keep you active and lead a healthy lifestyle.

Following an extensive refurbishment totalling £800,000 in April 2018, our brand new Gym now holds 62 top of the range Technogym equipment stations, alongside an extensive weekly programme of more than 30 Fitness Classes such as Pilates, Yoga and Boxfit taking place over two professional studios.

Take advantage of our 5 lane 25m Swimming Pool and Hydrotherapy pool, as well as our Sports Hall complete with Badminton courts and space for many other team sports to take place.

Our Better Play soft play facility, boasts four levels of action packed fun, bursting with fun activity including wavey slides, crawl tubes, log bridge, cargo nets, dizzy discs, roller squeeze, monster bash bags, spinning monster panels, hanging snakes, mousehole climbs, mirrored zig zags, monster hideouts and much more!

Our newly refurbished Cafe area offers the perfect space for you to relax and watch the fun unfold on poolside while treating yourself to something from the improved healthy menu.
