Dr. Shone Almeida, MD

Dr. Shone Almeida earned his medical degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, where he also pursued his residency in Internal Medicine. He completed his fellowship in cardiology at the University of California, San Diego and went on to complete a fellowship in Advanced Cardiac Imaging. Dr. Almeida offers specialized expertise in cardiac CT and MRI. He is board-certified in internal medicine, Cardiologys, nuclear cardiology and cardiovascular computed tomography.

Dr. Almeida has five years of experience and is affiliated with Menorah Medical Center and Overland Park Regional Medical Center. He has a passion for preventive care and seeks to improve cardiovascular health with the aid of advanced imaging modalities. He has conducted and/or led multiple research projects aimed at better understanding coronary artery disease. He has written several articles on topics within his specialty. Dr. Almeida has been recognized for excellence in teaching medical students as well as for quality and patient communication. He is a member of the American College of Cardiology and the Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography
