Led by ophthalmologist and medical director Ashvini Reddy, MD, Athena Eye Institute is a premier ophthalmology practice located in San Antonio, Texas. Dr. Reddy and the team use a holistic approach to focus on individual care and long-lasting patient relationships and offer state-of-the-art technology including Heidelberg Spectral domain for optical coherence tomography (OCT) imaging, and virtual visual fields.
Dr. Reddy has almost a decade of medical experience. She earned her bachelor’s degree with honors from the University of Texas at Austin, where she was a Lewis Scholar. She completed graduate studies at the same university and received her Medical Doctorate from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. 
While at Baylor, Dr. Reddy completed a medical internship, residency, and postdoctoral research fellowship. She went on to complete an ophthalmology fellowship at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute at the University of Miami in Florida.
Patients with eye disorders or vision loss associated with diabetic retinal disease, macular degeneration, dry eyes, floaters, retinal dystrophy, glaucoma, eye inflammation, cataracts, or other eye diseases can turn to Dr. Reddy and her team for premium care.
