Samantha Avoke, M.D., MPH earned her medical degree at the University of Ghana Medical School. She then attended the University of North Carolina where she completed a master's in public health. Dr. Avoke finished her medical education at Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center where she participated in the internal medicine internship and residency programs. Dr. Avoke specializes in internal medicine and offers comprehensive preventive care. She is passionate about women’s health and wellness and is an expert in international health and travel medicine. Dr. Avoke is skilled at performing minor office procedures such as pap smears, skin biopsies and the removal of skin lesions. She also offers management for coronary artery disease, diabetes, hypertension, COPD and asthma. In her spare time, Dr. Avoke enjoys cooking, traveling, watching movies and spending time with her family. Dr. Avoke is accepting new patients and welcomes most major insurance plans.
