Dr. Chilappa earned her medical degree from Osmania Medical College (India). She completed her internal medicine residency and cardiovascular fellowship at New York Medical College, Valhalla, NY. She completed her advanced echocardiography fellowship at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital, NY. She is board-certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular medicine, nuclear cardiology, and echocardiography. Her areas of expertise include valvular heart disease, all aspects of echocardiography, women's heart health and preventive cardiology. ,, She believes in partnering closely with primary care colleagues to establish and deliver a strong and consistent continuum of care for her patients.
