Shashikant Daya, MD, is an experienced primary care physician at Airport Primary Care in Atlanta, Georgia. He has over 20 years of experience in internal and family medicine, and offers patients individualized care to meet their unique needs. Dr. Daya takes great effort and time to treat patients with dignity and respect, and was recently awarded by Top Doctor as a Top Family Medicine Physician.
Dr. Daya earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa. He earned his medical degree from the University of Witwatersrand School of Medicine.
Dr. Daya completed an internship in general surgery, pediatrics, and obstetrics and gynecology at Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital in Johannesburg. He finished his internal medicine residency at the University of Tennessee in Memphis and completed a nuclear medicine residency at the University of Cincinnati Hospital in Ohio. Dr. Daya finished his medical training as a chief resident in family practice at Louisiana State University in Shreveport.
Patients suffering from allergies, asthma, diabetes, high blood pressure, joint pain, obesity, sleep disorders, illnesses, and more can turn to Dr. Daya and his expert family medicine team for premium care. He is authorized to complete immigration physicals and other physical exams.
Dr. Daya maintains his credentials with continuing education to stay up to date with the latest advancements in internal medicine. He is board-certified in nuclear cardiology, nuclear medicine, and family medicine.
