Dr. Tarlowe believes in giving patients dedicated, individualized, and compassionate care. As a single-provider practice, he excels in treating patients like human beings rather than numbers on a chart. Unlike a large medical group or hospital practice, Dr. Tarlowe provides his patients with a warm and friendly setting that makes them feel relaxed and comfortable in their consultations and treatments. 

In order to provide patients with the best medical care, Dr. Tarlowe uses his years of experience to offer multiple techniques to treat hemorrhoids, in addition to providing treatments for anal fissures, anal fistulas, anal warts, pilonidal cysts, and soft tissue tumors. He also performs screening colonoscopies and abdominal wall hernia repairs.

Dr. Tarlowe earned his bachelor’s degree with honors in biology at Rutgers. He later studied medicine at New Jersey Medical School in Newark, NJ. He completed a general surgery residency at University Hospital in Newark, during which time he was selected as General Surgery Resident of the Year and was voted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. Later, Dr. Tarlowe completed a fellowship program with training in colon and rectal surgery at Northwell Health in Long Island, NY.

Dr. Tarlowe is a skilled, compassionate, and highly regarded colorectal surgeon. He has been named a Castle Connolly Top Doctor for 6 years running (2018-2023) and is double board-certified in general surgery and colon and rectal surgery.
