Shanel Bhagwandin, DO, MPH – Jupiter Medical Center

Dr Bhagwandin is the Medical Director for the Gastrointestinal (GI) Surgical Oncology program at Jupiter Medical Center.

Dr. Bhagwandin is a fellowship trained surgical oncologist and board certified general surgeon. His clinical and research interests include the diagnosis and treatment of complex malignancies of the liver, pancreas, and biliary tract, in addition to gastric and esophageal cancer, colon and rectal cancer, sarcoma, and melanoma. He delivers compassionate care with the goal of restoring patient well-being.

He specializes in the management of advanced peritoneal carcinomatosis through the application of Hyperthermic IntraPeritoneal Chemotherapy (HIPEC) and cytoreductive surgery; a technique that combines surgery with chemotherapy delivered directly into the abdomen.
