Ashrit Multani, MD

Dr. Ashrit Multani is an infectious diseases physician who provides inpatient and outpatient care in Westwood and Santa Monica as a clinical instructor at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. He is clinically interested in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of infectious diseases in immunocompromised hosts, including patients who have undergone solid organ or hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. He is also interested in teaching and advancing the field through research to help optimize patient care.
Dr. Multani received his medical degree from the Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences in Bangalore, India. He completed his internal medicine residency and spent an additional year in chief residency at Johns Hopkins University/Sinai Hospital of Baltimore. He then completed fellowships at Stanford University School of Medicine in infectious diseases and both the clinical and research aspects of immunocompromised host infectious diseases. He spent his final year at Stanford as a chief fellow. He is board certified in infectious diseases and internal medicine.
Dr. Multani was awarded the Jack Remington, MD Infectious Diseases Fellows Award for Clinical Excellence in 2016 and was also inducted to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society in 2019.
