Deborah Lehman, MD

Dr. Lehman earned her undergraduate degree from Stanford University and her medical degree from UCLA School of Medicine. She completed her pediatric residency at Children's Hospital of Los Angeles and her infectious diseases fellowship at both UCLA and UCSF where she researched maternal fetal transmission of human immunodeficiency virus.
Prior to joining the division of pediatric infectious diseases at UCLA, Dr. Lehman was the associate clinical director of pediatric infectious diseases at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and the clerkship site director for pediatrics at the David Geffen School of Medicine. Her interest and passion for medical education brought her back to UCLA to assume the role of assistant dean for student affairs, pediatric clerkship chair and associate vice chair of education in the department of pediatrics.
In addition to her roles in the medical school, Dr. Lehman along with her therapy dog Hamilton is a volunteer with UCLA's People Animal Connection at Ronald Reagan Medical Center and Mattel Children's Hospital.
