The law offices of Robert J. Merriken, P.C. provide legal services to auto accident victims, small businesses, estate, and probate work and collections.

Bob practices primarily in the areas of personal injury, wills and estate planning and probate, general and commercial civil litigation, real estate matters, and representation of clients in small business matters and transactional work. Bob graduated from St. Michaels High School and, following high school, Bob served in the United States Coast Guard for four years and the United States Coast Guard Reserve for another eleven years. Bob obtained his undergraduate degree from Salisbury State College, magna cum laude, in 1984 and his law degree in 1988 from the University of Maryland School of Law. Bob is a member of the Maryland Bar, the District of Columbia Bar, and the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland. Bob is also a member of the Talbot County Bar Association, having served as its president for one term, the Maryland State Bar Association, and is a past member of the Caroline County Bar Association.

Bob and his wife live in Talbot County, Maryland. In Bob’s spare time he enjoys working out at the YMCA of the Chesapeake as well as hunting, fishing, boating, and recreational vehicle camping with friends and family.

Bob’s philosophy is that he will provide quality, local, representation for his clients while maintaining the highest of ethical standards. His primary goal is to serve his clients to the utmost of his ability and, with regard to personal injury cases, to obtain fair and just compensation for his clients who have been injured as the result of the negligence of others.
