Anup Shah, MD

Anup A. Shah, M.D. is a dual-fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in knee and shoulder surgery.He is certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and maintains a Certificate of Added Qualification in Orthopedic Sports Medicine. He is also an active member of the reputable American Shoulder and Elbow Society and American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine. Additionally, he is Assistant Clinical Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine, educating residents during their sport and shoulder rotations.Dr. Shah has advanced training and completed fellowships in Sports Medicine/Arthroscopic Surgery and Shoulder Reconstruction. His specialties include sports medicine, advanced arthroscopic surgery, cartilage repair, and complex shoulder reconstruction including shoulder replacements. Prior to joining our team in Houston, he practiced in Atlanta where he was a former Assistant Team Physician for the NFL Atlanta Falcons and NHL Atlanta Thrashers.​
